The Prodigy - Voodoo People Critique

The music video was original to The Prodigy. The song was remixed by Pendulum, but it fits well the video. It's fast paced, yet smooth, making it perfect for the song.
The video itself is very innovative. It's a chase scene, and looks so cinematographic, it's like something from a movie.

I would say the theme of the video is something to do with adrenaline. It helps it to fit into the music.
There aren't any special effects in the video. However, the lighting used works well for the theme of the video. It's very dark, and gives off an intense atmosphere. The location starts off in a city, and builds its way into the forrest, and into plain ground.
The location suited the video really well, it helped make the theme stand out. It serves it's function well.

The video uses various camera shots. There are mostly vide shots, taking in the view from far away. It creates a distant effect, making the video seem more haunting.
There are closer shots used when the music gets faster.

This music video is about a chase scene.
A crowd of people are all blindfolded and they are running to a goal. Over time, the crowd gets smaller, and in the end it shows one girl running through the forest to the car at the end. She is presumably rewarded with a bag, which i think is filled with money.

The Journey Film.

This is mine and Adam's video for The Journey project.

We used a carrier bag, and took various shots of the bag traveling throughout our classroom.
We used the fan to help blow it around, and used a strobe light to make it look more eerie.

After shooting the clips, we edited it together on Adobe Premier Pro, adding effects and transitions. Then finally, we added in the soundtrack for the film, which was Voo Doo People by The Prodigy.

Shrek Animation and Evaluation.

In the process of making my product, at first i had to create the set for my animation to come to life.
I got a box, and various pieces of paper and drew on by hand, the backgrounds i needed. I printed out pictures of some characters from the Shrek film, and stuck them onto pieces of card to make them stronger. I also gathered some things from outside, like grass, stones and leaves. Everything was stuck together using glue and blue tac.
Inside the box, i used the blue tac to stick the backgrounds on, and i stood the characters up as well. The extra materials were scattered around the box to make it look more realistic.
I made it because Shrek is a great film to work with for this task, and it would help me explore the use of different materials and ways of filming.

When making the product, i used various different materials, both electronic and hands on material. This included stuff like, a box, paper for backgrounds, pencils and pens to colour it all in, card to stick the characters on, grass, stones, money, a camera, USB and a laptop, using the internet to download songs and voice-overs and Adobe Premier Pro to edit everything together.
The disadvantages i found of using the grass and stones, was that the weather wasn't good that much for me to go out and collect them. Also, the internet was a major problem in college, as it didn't work when i wanted to download songs. Therefore, i had to waste time and download them at home.
The advantages of using the grass, stones and money, was that it made the set look more realistic, and fun to watch in the final product. As well as that, the songs and voices i downloaded make the animation more easier to watch.

The thing that challenged me the most was having to edit it all together in time.
Because the internet in college wouldn't work for me, i couldn't download the suitable songs i needed for the animation, and i had to wait until after to download them at home, and overcome this problem.
The newest skill i have learned is how to edit more than one different piece of audio together on Adobe Premier Pro. I also learned how to change the volume levels on one and leave the other quiet.

My biggest achievement was having the final product finished to the best of my ability. The box looked exactly the way i wanted it to. I overcame the challenge of having no internet in college, which halted my progress to download the background songs i needed. Instead, i downloaded them at home and brought them in on a USB. I'm more or less happy with my final product.

I could, however, improve the final product. The one thing i would change is the amount of pictures o took, because when i editied the animation together, i had to loop it 3 times to make it long enough for the right time. The poorly executed decision i made was not taking enough photos. I concentrated too long on moving the characters and backgrounds around.
